Sushi - short course
Fresh sushi is both a beautiful and delicious thing, but it is hard to find. The ultimate solution is to learn how to make your own - so make your way to Coastal Cooking!
This short course will teach you the fundamentals of sushi and sashimi, looking at rice preparation, fish quality and the subtleties of the other authentic ingredients such as soy sauce and wasabi. You will learn to make sashimi, nigiri and, of course, the various types of maki rolls - with rice at the perfect temperature and crisp nori sheets.
The course ends with dining on your creations. You are welcome to bring drinks to enjoy with your sushi. We have glasses and just ask that you take your empties away with you.
